Forever lost

Little man is nearing 14 months and in that time I have lucky managed to never lose any of his things.  No toys have gone missing.  No items of clothing have gone astray.  Amazingly no socks have disappeared without a trace.  I was quite pleased with myself that in the midst of the whirlwind of a little one that I had managed to keep trace of his things and nothing had been lost.

My track record for nothing missing was spotless.  ‘Was’ is the key word here.  My track record now has a big, dirty mark on it.  It is no longer blemish free.  For the first time ever I have recently lost something of little man’s things.

Missing – little man’s adorable Jiglz doggie hat.

A while back I bought this adorable Jiglz doggie hat at my local Tenovus cancer charity shop and even though it was a tad roomy I thought it would be perfect for summer as it would fit perfect by then.  Since I bought it little man has worn it a few times when the weather has permit it nice enough and little man has looked so cute wearing his doggie hat.  But sadly this cute doggie hat seems to have vanished into thin air.

We recently had a lovely sunny day and as we were off out on a little walk I went to get the hat to keep little man protected from the sun but alas it was not where I keep his hats.  I have looked everywhere for this elusive hat, I have looked all through the house, in the car, emptied my changing bag that seems to have everything in it but the hat and sadly no hat has been found.  For a while I still had the hope of finding the hat but have no come to terms with the fact that it is forever lost.

I am quite sad that this summer I won’t have this cute doggie hat for little man to wear.  I would buy another one but sadly my local Tenovus cancer charity shop doesn’t have any more for me to buy.  For now I have another cute Jiglz hat for little man to wear, an adorable ladybird one but sadly this is a tad smaller than the doggie one (it is 48cms whilst the doggie one was 53cms) and it won’t fit him for much longer.

I really wish I hadn’t tarnished my perfect track record of not losing little man’s things by losing such an adorable little hat which I loved.  I am now on the hunt for another cute hat to keep little man protected from the sun.

  6. Oh I know how you feel on that one! I remember when Charlotte lost her favourite hat. I have no idea at what point she took it off but when we went back it had gone. :-( x

  7. Aha! So does this mean we can blame the dreadful weather we've had this year on you? Did you manage to lose the sun at the same time as the sun hat??? :-) He did look awfully cute in it, but he looks just as sweet in the new one, and I hope we do get some sun for him to wear the new one!
