Conquering a new Castle.

I love days out with Bug.  Whilst children themed play places and attractions are fun and exciting, my favourite days out with Bug have been day's spent in the great outdoors and enjoying nature at its best as well as trips to visit beaches, time at National Trust properties and historic attractions.

As Bug used to love conquering Cilgerran Castle before we moved I thought it was about time he conquered a new Castle now that we live further afield from his beloved Cilgerran Castle.

With that in mind this past half term we took a walk to the Castle in town and enjoyed a peaceful afternoon exploring Haverfordwest Castle with the sunshine showcasing the castle beautifully in all of its glory.

Bug loved running around the Castle ruins and has demanded we must visit again soon.  I plan on taking him there again with a picnic, I am sure the Castle  will make for a beautiful and dramatic backdrop to a picnic in the sun.

  1. I am with you all the way, this beats theme parks for me every time. Absolutely go for that summer picnic, I would be there on that picnic blanket watching Bug running around without hesitation. Beautiful photos and what a lovely old ruin it is, still clearly a castle. Thank you for sharing on Country Kids

    1. Thank you. It is a lovely Castle and I love that we have it within waking distance to enjoy whenever we fancy. I look forward to lots of picnics there.
