Memories of baby Bug, washing baby clothes, caring for sensitive skin and supporting Tommy’s #Mums4Tommys #shop

When I was pregnant with Bug I felt like the luckiest girl in the World. All of my hopes and wishes of being a mum one day were at long last coming true as Bug grew inside of me.  As my baby bump blossomed I loved the process of preparing for the arrival of our baby.  I loved shopping for baby products; in particular I loved handpicking adorable newborn baby clothes ready for our arrival. During the last few weeks of my pregnancy as my nesting instincts kicked in I felt a true sense of satisfaction lovingly washing baby clothes.

Being inspired by my mum’s use of Persil Non-Bio over the years to wash our clothes, from when we were newborn babies to young adults preparing to leave the nest and move out on our own, when the time came for me to wash my baby’s clothes I instinctively reached for Persil Non-Bio. Thanks to the fact that it contains no enzymes I felt confident that it would be kind to our baby’s sensitive skin and with a little help from Comfort Pure fabric conditioner the baby clothes would be soft and gentle for our baby’s delicate, sensitive skin.

As I lovingly washed the baby clothes and watched the tiny clothes flapping in the wind as they dried outside on the washing line before excitedly folding them and placing them in the nursery (lovingly decorated by daddy-to-be) ready for the arrival of our baby, I imagined clothing our baby in the cute baby clothes.

When I held Bug in my arms for the very first time after he was born I felt an immense rush of joy and love wash over me. Gazing down at my gorgeous little boy cradled in my arms and smelling that beautiful newborn baby smell the hours of pain endured during labour were forgotten and replaced with unconditional love.

As Bug grew, changing fast as he mastered new milestones going from an adorable newborn baby to a cute little boy in what has felt like a blink of an eye as the years since he was born have gone by so quickly, what remained constant was the piles and piles of washing and our dedicated use of Persil Non-Bio and Comfort Pure to care for our little ones clothes and sensitive skin. I don’t think I’ve seen the bottom of our laundry basket in years and our washing line is always filled with clothes, especially when Bug was in nappies as we had cloth nappies to wash and dry too.

Even though Bug is now a big boy as he calls himself, no longer a baby at the grand old age of 3 (even though he will still be my little baby when he is a grown man with his own family), we still use Persil Non-Bio and Comfort Pure to wash the never-ending mounds of dirty clothes that seems to mount up so quickly, mainly thanks to Bug.

Being a little lad who seems to attract all manner of mess and dirt whilst living life to the fullest, playing and having fun, I always seem to have a stain or two to wash out of his clothes. As Persil Non-Bio’s tagline is ‘Tough on stains yet gentle on skin’ it is no surprise really that thankfully it has tackled and removed all manner of stains from food to mud to paint whilst still being kind to Bug’s sensitive skin.

As Bug goes through clean clothes so quickly and often has more than one outfit change a day thanks to crafting and messy outdoor play I have to make sure our supplies of detergent and fabric softener never run out so whenever I pop over the Cleddau Bridge to our local Asda store I make sure to head to the laundry aisle to pick up another bottle of Persil Non-Bio and Comfort Pure.

Not only have I forged a strong loyalty to Persil Non-Bio and Comfort Pure due to the fact both are hypoallergenic, dermatologically tested and use skincare research recognised by the British Skin Foundation but also due to the connection they have to Tommy’s with their #Mums4Tommys campaign.

When I was pregnant with Bug I used Tommy’s free information service that helps educate parents-to-be about health in pregnancy and have always supported and praised the amazing work that Tommy’s do to fund medical research into the causes and prevention of miscarriage, premature birth and stillbirth.

As I support Tommy’s I love the #Mums4Tommys campaign and think it is fantastic that Persil Non-Bio and Comfort Pure are donating a total of £100,000 to Tommy’s to help support their  fantastic work and vital research.  To raise awareness of Tommy’s and support the charity until the 11th of September by purchasing a special promotional pack of Persil Non-Bio 25w and Comfort Pure 42w sold exclusively at Asda since the 23rd of August will be donated to Tommy’s.

Unfortunately our local are yet to stock the special packs but I think it is great that by buying Persil Non-Bio and Comfort Care you can help raise money for Tommy’s Charity.

Care for your baby’s sensitive skin and support a fantastic charity buy picking up a special pack of Persil Non-Bio and Comfort Pure at your local Asda store.

Reminiscing about baby Bug and washing adorable baby clothes has my broodiness at an all-time high but until the day that my body gives me another little baby I am going to carry on living life to the full with my gorgeous little boy who I am very fortunate to have, having fun together and getting very mucky in the process!
