National Trust’s Cadbury Eggsplorers Easter Egg Hunt.

For us Easter is not only a time when the Easter bunny visits with a few yummy chocolate egg treats, but also a time when we relish the beauty of the great outdoors on fun family adventures. We love nothing more than having adventures in the great outdoors, exploring the wonder of nature on lovely – hopefully sunny - countryside walks.

This Easter the National Trust are giving families the opportunity to combine a love of chocolate egg treats that have become famously connected to Easter with a love of getting outdoors and having fun families adventures thanks to their annual Cadbury Eggsplorers Easter Egg Trails.

In preparation National Trust’s annual Cadbury Eggsplorers Easter Egg Trails taking place over this upcoming weekend (3rd-6th April), over a quarter of a million Cadbury Eggheads have been deliver to National Trust properties across the UK.

A whopping 21.5 tonnes of chocolate eggs have been provided by Cadburys for the event. With so many eggs to store and keep safe the lovely staff at the National Trust have been getting creative about where to hide the eggs so no one finds them before Easter and the Eggsplorers Easter Egg Trails begin. With thousands of eggs to hide temporary hiding places include inside of grandfather clocks, pianos, vases and bookcases.

250,000+ Eggheads are now ready and waiting for families this Easter weekend as families unleash their inner explorer and have family fun adventures at the Easter Egg Trails taking places across the country. Having had 680,000 people get involved last year in this annual event, which is in its eighth year, the National Trust is expecting a huge turnout of people keen to get exploring and adventuring in the beautiful surroundings of the 300+ National Trust properties taking part.

The annual National Trust Cadbury Eggsplorers Easter Egg Trails are taking place from the 3rd to the 6th April 2015. Prices vary for the event depending on location with prices starting at £1 for the Easter Egg Trail. If you fancy joining in on the fun, you can find a Cadbury Easter Egg Trail near you by taking a look here.

Last year Bug and I took part in the Cadbury Eggsplorers Easter Egg Trail at the National Trust property Southwood Farm in Pembrokeshire.

Bug loved the fun Easter Egg Trail.

He also had lots of fun exploring the gorgeous woodland at Southwood Farm.

The fun filled adventures we had exploring the beautiful outdoors at the National Trust location came to a sweet end as Bug was rewarded with chocolately goodness.

Get out this weekend with the family for adventures as you hunt down a chocolate Egghead treasure prize.
