Happy Easter with Asda.

I love easter.  I have fond memories of easter egg hunts when I was growing up….searching the farm for clues to help us find tasty easter eggs and easter themed treats.  As Bug gets older I hope to re-create some of the magic I experienced at Easter when I was little and make it a fun-filled time for him.

Thanks to Asda and their range of Easter products I managed to get some Easter themed items and tasty treats for us to have an egg-tastic Easter.

I got some yummy Teeny Weeny Eggs for us all to enjoy and to use on a fun mini egg hunt.

I got lots of choc-tastic Easter eggs for us and to give to friends and family.  Starting from £1 the Easter eggs were great value for money and the choice of chocolate eggs at the store I shopped at was vast.

I could not resist this uber-cute Chick plate for £5 which I thought would be perfect for showcasing yummy treats and the Easter themed cupcakes I plan on baking with Bug.

Even though I find Easter eggs hard to resist I do like to give my little relatives another little treat as well as a small egg each, I often give them a little Easter themed toy or book but sometimes I give them a little gift of money to put in their bank account or to get themselves a little treat at a later date.  As I was struggling to find a suitable little gift for this Easter when I saw theses colourful, glitter-tastic money wallets I thought I would get a pack to present their money gift in.  I also got some Easter cards for the amazing price of £1.

I always thought my little cousins would love to get creative and make an Easter basket ready to fill with Easter treats, so bought them a Make your own Easter basket kit each.  As I love getting creative I think these kits are great fun for children and at £1 they are fantastic value for money.

At £1 I simply could not resist these extremely cute Bunny Ears.  Bug fell in love with them when he
noticed them in store and he looked sooooo adorable I could not resist getting them for him.

We got a pack of 9 Chosen by you Mini Hot Cross Buns for £1 which got gobbled up in double quick time.

As Lee’s family lives miles away from us and Easter this year was going to be a difficult time with it being the first year without Lee’s nan whose birthday would have been the day after Easter we wanted to send our thoughts and love to Lee’s nan, aunt and step-grandfather and send some gorgeous blooms of flowers to them.  I also got my mum a lovely bouquet of flowers and treated myself to some beautiful daffodils.  Altogether we got a variety of bouquets, including an Easter Bouquet for £5, an Extra Special Luxury Bouquet for £15 and some beautiful British Daffodils for £1 for 20 stems.

I was a tad disappointed that the Asda store I shopped at did not have a 3D Charlie the Chick Cake for £10.  I thought Charlie would be a perfect addition to our Easter celebrations and I had been looking forward to picking one up so that we could enjoy his yumminess of a light vanilla sponge sandwiched with 2 layers of jam and covered in yellow and orange icing.  He looks adorable and I wish I could have bought Charlie the Chick….I bet Bug would have loved him and not wanted us to eat him.
