* Sponsored video * Dream the Blues campaign - Samsung and Chelsea FC.

Living with a footie fan who is an avid supporter of the beautiful game and both Lee and I being champions of great campaigns aimed at children I had to share about Samsung Electronics’ ‘Dream the Blues’ campaign alongside Chelsea FC.

The Dream the Blues campaign provides children from a number of countries across the globe with a once-in-a-lifetime football experience.  The campaign which covers four continents and eight different countries aims to encourage football-loving children aged 9-13 to develop their football skills and achieve their football dreams with a little help from English Premier League club Chelsea FC.

This year’s Dream the Blues campaign is the second season of the campaign following on from last year’s successful launch of the Samsung Dream the Blues campaign with Chelsea FC.  The campaign is an expansion of the Samsung-Chelsea FC Youth Football Camp programme which has been providing children with the opportunity to be trained for the next generation of football players since 2007 with the initiative having benefited 5,000 children across the World so far.

Spanning four continents and eight different countries the campaign gives Samsung Home Appliance customers in China, Vietnam and Colombia the chance to apply for their children to live the football dream and develop their football skills with the help of Chelsea of FC.  The campaign sees Dream the Blues football training sessions being held in local youth football camps in every country up until the campaign comes to an end with a final Dream the Blues Camp taking place in London in May.

Providing children with a memorable experience the campaign gives children across the eight countries the opportunity to learn how to play football and develop their football skills.  During the campaign Samsung and Chelsea visit youth football camps in the eight countries where they provide football training to local children, teaching them to learn football skills ‘The Chelsea Way’ with help from Chelsea Foundation coaches.  Avid young footballers will get help to develop their football skills with groups of other children by being taught how to refine their control as well as going through a series of skills drills and mini games to develop and improve their shooting, dribbling and passing skills.

The most passionate, football loving participants will be chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime, priceless opportunity where they can attend the Blues Camp in London in May where they get to train and meet with players from the Chelsea FC squad.  Not only does this memorable opportunity give children the chance to meet their football heroes but they will also be able to build global friendships through football with the other passionate fans of the beautiful game.

Chelsea players Fernando Torres, Eden Hazard and John Terry are appointed Dream the Blues campaign ambassadors, promoting the campaign to football fans and Samsung consumers around the World.

Chelsea striker Fernando Torres, who is in his second year as a campaign ambassador, said: "We are happy to be part of the Dream the Blues campaign and to be able to help football-loving youngsters around the world with Samsung.  This being my second year as the ambassador of this campaign, I am sure that all participants will have an unforgettable experience whether in their country or in London with us."

Sue Huh, sr. manager, at Samsung added:  "We are pleased to bring the Dream the Blues campaign to our local consumers, inspiring youths to keep their dream alive. Samsung and Chelsea both believe in motivating peoples' lives with sports, therefore, we will try our best to bring the best experience to everyone."

To promote the Dream the Blues campaign there are campaign videos featuring the ambassadors which can be viewed by checking out the Dream the Blues YouTube channel.

The campaign videos express the campaign slogan ‘The dream starts here’ and showcase that a positive home environment, family support and youth football camps can play an important role in supporting and keeping children’s football dreams alive.
