Zaggora Hotpants Review

I have always struggled with losing weight and my PCOS really seems to fight any attempts I make to get rid of some of my excess weight.  Having read numerous testimonials and positive reviews about people loosing inches and weight with Zaggora Hotpants, when I was given the opportunity to test out the Zaggora Hotpants for their Zaggora Two Week Challenge I was keen to see if they could help me shift some of the inches that stubbornly refuse to say goodbye to me.

Zaggora’s Hotpants were developed to help women lose weight by maximising their workouts and encouraging perspiration to help slim tummy and thighs.  According to Zaggora “women lose weight 4x faster with Hotpants” and the pants are “specially designed with Celu-Lite technology fabric lining, Hotpants use your natural body temperature to warm you up around the areas you care about (legs, bum, thighs)”.  Zaggora’s claims and how the pants work can be read on the Zaggora website along with reviews from a number of women who have used the hotpants.

Putting their claim to the test Zaggora promote a 2 week challenge where they challenge people to lose 2 jean sizes in 2 weeks by wearing the hotpants and exercising for at least 30 minutes 5 days a week for 2 weeks.

The hotpants come in 4 different sizes; small, medium, large and extra-large and there is a size chart on the website to help you decide what size is best for you.  I wasn’t sure what size to get as I am in-between two different sizes but as I was veering towards 1 size more than the other I went for that one as I feared the smaller size would be too small and I hoped that the size I opted for wouldn’t turn out to be too big.  The hotpants fit pretty well, I think they could be a tad tighter as I assumed they would feel more snug but I think the smaller size would have been too tight so I think I went for the right size.

The hotpants are made from a material that is reminiscent of wetsuits.  They are comfortable to wear but even though they didn’t irritate me I am aware that they are on as they feel a tad bulky especially when underneath clothing.

I can definitely attest to the fact that the hotpants make you sweat more.  The first day I wore them I thought I’d go for a gentle walk with little man to wear them in gently and even a gentle walk had me sweating loads.  With a higher intensity workout I have found myself sweating even more.  Even though they make me sweat loads I find that they wick away the moisture helping to keep me feeling dry.  When wearing the hotpants I find that I do get a tad hot and quite thirsty so I make sure I keep myself hydrated.

I love the fact that as well as wearing the hotpants when working out you can also wear them when doing housework and when sleeping.  A small negative I can see is that I think it could be inconvenient for some people that they are hand wash only.

So how did my 2 week challenge go?  Did these hotpants achieve a miracle for me?

Sadly I did not drop two jean sizes or lose a great amount of weight.  I did however lose 2 inches from my thighs and tummy which I am pleased about and I can once again wear a pair of jeans that I loved pre-pregnancy that post baby have been a tad too tight and have been uncomfortable but thanks to wearing the hotpants they fit perfectly.  The hotpants were not a magic fix from me but I do think that it is to do with how much effort you put in and perhaps if I had done more high intensity work outs I would have achieved more but with a little one keeping me busy that was easier said than done and so for the most part I had to be happy with wearing them doing the housework and running around after little lad-o.  Even though I did not achieve dropping 2 jean sizes I did notice an improved appearance of my skin especially on my thighs which were smoother and softer.

I personally think the first few inches women loose by wearing the hotpants is water loss.  I do think that the hotpants help achieve miracle weight loses if they are used with a combination of a healthy diet and a good, high intensity workout routine which all together will help women get great results.  I believe that alone the hotpants can only do so much and they are not a miracle solution to weight loss as I feel that they need to be used with a change in lifestyle and to work effectively the effort has to be put in with diet and exercise.  On their website they have workout suggestions and on their the Zaggora YouTube account there are videos you can watch of different workouts that are perfect for doing whilst wearing the hotpants.

The hotpants can be bought on Zaggora’s website for £44.99 which I do think is a lot of money especially when you do lose weight you will have to drop a hotpant size and buy another so that you’ve got a pair of pants that fits well so that you get the best results and effectiveness from the pants.  Even though I personally think it is a lot of money I am sure for women who manage to lose weight whilst using the hotpants feel the money is worth it.
