This
summer renowned children’s charity Action Medical Research are giving cream tea
lovers a fresh chance to indulge and satisfy their sweet tooth as its popular
cream teas in a box scheme runs for a second time.
Following
the sweet success of the first cream teas charity campaign, when thousands of
cream teas were delivered to homes, schools and workplaces across the UK, the
charity is running a second cream teas delivery in August.
To
help promote the charity and raise funds for the worthwhile charity, Action
Medical Research is calling upon supporters across the country to take part in
its unique fundraising campaign whilst enjoying a sweet treat at the same time!
To
support this worthwhile cause and take part in this sweet and unique
fundraising campaign simply sign up for the perfect afternoon tea time treat,
which comes in a box priced at just £6 each that will be delivered on Friday 7th
August 2015……come on get them before they’re scone!
Action
Medical Research’s delicious British cream teas in a box contains scones,
Tiptree strawberry jam, Rodda’s Cornish clotted cream and three strawberry crème
chocolates, as well as traditional Yorkshire Tea, knife and serviette.
“The
reaction to our initial cream teas in a box campaign on 18 June was so overwhelming
that we’ve decided to bring the deliveries back by popular demand,” says Tracey
Edwards, Action’s Cream Tea Events Manager.
“All
you have to do is order by Thursday, 30 July, and your cream tea will be
delivered to your door on Friday, 7 August. The minimum order is for 10 boxes,
so why not get together with friends or colleagues to share a delicious treat and
raise funds for sick babies and children?"
“It’s
also the perfect way to say thank you to someone by giving them the chance to take
a break and put the kettle on while our scrumptious cream teas are delivered to
the door.”
Research
is the key to saving many children from a lifetime of suffering, yet
surprisingly, medical research into conditions that devastate children’s lives
is poorly funded. Ordering one of Action Medical Research’s cream teas in a box
will help the charity’s work to save and change the lives of babies and
children.
Action
Medical Research is currently funding research around stillbirth, epilepsy,
meningitis, cerebral palsy and brain cancer, as well as some rare and
distressing conditions that severely affect children.
