Join The
Very Hungry Caterpillar™ by taking part in The Giant Wiggle to help vulnerable children and Action for Children
Leading UK
charity Action for Children is teaming up with The World of Eric Carle™ and the
most read children’s book in the UK, The Very Hungry Caterpillar™, to get
children’s centres, nurseries and other groups throughout the country to host
Giant Wiggle events during the week of 21st-27th March 2016.
The
sponsored walks will bring children together to wiggle like caterpillars in
giant conga lines and encourage them to play and develop their imaginations
through storytelling and creativity.
All money
raised through the event will support Action for Children’s work across the
country to help vulnerable children, young people and families in the heart of
communities.
Action for
Children provides early years child development, learning and childcare
services to thousands of tots throughout the UK, through its children and
family centres.
In March
2015, more than 54,000 children took part in nearly 950 Giant Wiggle
events across the country. Over the past two years, The Giant Wiggle has raised
more than £149,000 for Action for Children.
Laura
Hamilton said: “The Giant Wiggle is a fantastic opportunity for children to get
involved with a great cause to help other youngsters, having a blast with
friends and family at the same time. My little ones and I will be taking part –
join us and The Very Hungry Caterpillar for all the fun!”
