What if I won the lottery? What would I buy?

As a dreamer I often find myself dreaming about 'what ifs'. One of the common 'what ifs' I find myself thinking about is 'what if I was lucky enough to win the lottery'.

If I was fortunate enough to win big on the lotto, perhaps having won a life changing prize playing one of the world's biggest lotteries on Multilotto, then I would inevitably spend some of my winnings on a dream forever home for my family, a new family car, a once-in-a-lifetime family holiday and finally getting married and having my dream wedding after 5 years of engagement.

Whilst I would be over the moon to win a large enough lotto prize to do the above, any winnings would of course be gratefully received. If my lotto win was a more modest one, or a large win with a some winnings left to spare after the above purchases, I would love to treat each one of our family to a gift of something they would love.

I’ve mentioned before when Bug made his Superfruit how much he loves superheroes. He is superhero mad. A day does not go by without me hearing the name ‘Batman’, ‘Spiderman’ or ‘Superman’ uttered by Bug and he often declares he is a superhero; being either his own unique superhero or one of his favourite superheroes or a mixture of all them rolled into one – Super-Bat-Bat (Superman and Batman), Captain-Iron-America-man (Ironman and Captain America) or another imaginative mixture of Superheroes.

A magical dream winter holiday - Santa's Lapland.

Whilst it may seem absurd to be thinking about Santa and Christmas during Summer as I love all things Christmassy and like to be organised, preparing for it in advance by saving money all year round ready for the holiday season plus buying presents in sales, it is no surprise that regardless of the time of year I often think about all things Christmassy.

Also being a mum I am often reminded about Christmas and Santa from my excited little one who enchanted by the holiday season and legendary Santa cannot wait for Christmas to come around again.  My demanding threenager has already been asking for toys and treats to be added to his Christmas list and has been curiously asking what Santa is doing now in summer……does Santa go to the beach like us mama?  Does Santa have a BBQ?  Does Santa take his reindeer’s to the park?

Thankfully I have been able to quench Bug’s interest in what Santa is up to outside of the Christmas season with a little help from Santa’s news updates of what he is doing now.  News of Santa grooming his reindeer and interviewing new elves has delighted Bug who was also very excited to hear that Santa loves barbecues in the summer and loves to holiday at the beach!

Lately I have been thinking about my future and things I would love to do and achieve over the years, in essence things I want to do and achieve for a bucket list.  A strong theme in many of the things I would love to do is travel.  Over my lifetime I hope to travel to numerous countries across the globe to experience and witness a variety of places, cultures and sceneries. 

Since I was a child when I saw photographs and heard tales from my Mamgu and Dadcu about their holiday to the Scandinavian countries of Norway, Sweden and Finland I have had a strong desire to visit those countries myself and witness their breath-taking natural beauty in person.  As I hope to holiday to the Scandinavian countries as my grandparents did, holidaying in any of the Scandinavian countries is top of my travel bucket list.

As going on a cruise in my lifetime is also on my bucket list, the idea of combining both my desire to see a Scandinavian country and take a cruise by going on a Norwegian fjords cruise holiday really appeals to me.
