Back to school shoes with Jake Shoes

The summer holidays has been an amazing time. It has been lovely spending quality time with both of the kids, especially with the youngest set to start school part time in the nursery in a few days time. In spite of the odd argument between the two and juggling keeping them entertained without breaking the bank - yay for free/cheap days out to the park, beach and woods! - it has been a wonderful time especially with a holiday away which was fantastic.

Like most other parents across the country with school aged children I have also had the mighty task of dealing with back to school shopping. This year it has been double the work as we have had to kit out both kids ready for school. Apart from the school logo clothing that we have to buy from the school I bought the rest of their school uniforms at the beginning of August before we went on holiday. Trust me I breathed a sigh of relief when it was done as back to school shopping can be a nightmare.

Back to school shoes with Brantano

In the midst of having fun filled family days out and adventures galore with the kids during the summer holidays I have been getting everything needed ready for back to school.

Fortunately for my bank balance as we already had a well stocked uniform that still fits Bug well and is still looking as good as new I haven't had to spend a fortune on clothes for his school uniform.

Being so boisterous and busy, running jumping and playing ball during playtimes one item of his school uniform has not fared as well….his school shoes.

With Bug growing ever so quickly and shooting up like a beansprout it feels as if I am constantly having to update his wardrobe with new clothes and shoes as he has - in what feels like a mere nanosecond - already grown out of his not so old clothes and shoes.

Even though we are not quite half way through the school year yet as Bug has had a growth spurt I have had to update his school uniform. As well as getting new trousers and shirts for my growing boy, as his feet have grown overnight (well it feels as if they have) and jumped up a shoe size a new pair of school shoes is also need.

With it being the middle of the school year not all shops have a great range of school shoes available which has limited our choices a little.
