A short bedtime story - Goodnight little chick.


The sun is setting on the farm 
Time for the animals to head to the barn.



Tired Little Chick has been busy all day
Exploring the farm and playing in the hay.




But before Little Chick heads to bed
She wants to say goodnight to her friends on the farmstead.

Little Chick finds Dipsy Dolly the Donkey and says “goodnight,
sleep well, don’t let the bed bugs bite”.

Chirp.  Chirp.

“Goodnight” says Dipsy Dolly, “sleep well too
I will see you in the morning when Rooster cock-a-doodle-doo”.

Hee-haw.  Hee-haw.

Little Chick finds Molly Moo the Cow and says “goodnight,
sleep well, don’t let the bed bugs bite”.

Chirp.  Chirp.

“Goodnight” says Molly Moo, “sleep well too
I will see you in the morning when Rooster cock-a-doodle-doo”.

Moo.  Moo.

Little Chick finds Curley Shirley the Sheep and says “goodnight,
sleep well, don’t let the bed bugs bite”.

Chirp.  Chirp.

“Goodnight” says Curley Shirley, “sleep well too
I will see you in the morning when Rooster cock-a-doodle-doo”.

Baa.  Baa.


Little Chick finds Silly Sam the Sheepdog and says “goodnight,
sleep well, don’t let the bed bugs bite”.

Chirp.  Chirp.

“Goodnight” says Silly Sam, “sleep well too
I will see you in the morning when Rooster cock-a-doodle-doo”.

Woof.  Woof.

Little Chick finds Happy Harry the Horse and says “goodnight,
sleep well, don’t let the bed bugs bite”.

Chirp.  Chirp.

“Goodnight” says Happy Harry, “sleep well too
I will see you in the morning when Rooster cock-a-doodle-doo”.

Neigh.  Neigh.

Little Chick finds Cute Carly the Cat and says “goodnight,
sleep well, don’t let the bed bugs bite”.

Chirp.  Chirp.

“Goodnight” says Cute Carly, “sleep well too
I will see you in the morning when Rooster cock-a-doodle-doo”.

Meow.  Meow.

Little Chick finds Podgy Peter the Pig and says “goodnight,
sleep well, don’t let the bed bugs bite”.

Chirp. Chirp.

“Goodnight” says Podgy Peter, “sleep well too
I will see you in the morning when Rooster cock-a-doodle-doo”.

Oink.  Oink.


Little Chick finds Roaring Rufus the Rooster and says “goodnight,
sleep well, don’t let the bed bugs bite”.

Chirp.  Chirp.

“Goodnight” says Roaring Rufus, “sleep well too
I will see you in the morning when Rooster cock-a-doodle-doo”.

Cock-a-doodle-doo.  Cock-a-doodle-doo.

“Goodnight everyone” chirps Little Chick, “goodnight,
sleep well, don’t let the bed bugs bite”.

Chirp.  Chirp.


All the farm animals singing “goodnight Little Chick, sleep well too
we will see you in the morning when Rooster cock-a-doodle-doo”.

    1. Thanks. I was not sure whether to or not with Bug being so young him drawing the picture was not to simple so I decided to get creative and crafty with him and some paint. Popping over to see your story now, I had not seen any other bedtime stories for Warren Evans anywhere else either.
