Pebble Grey LED Cosmetic Mirror Review.

When I was recently given the opportunity to review a compact cosmetic mirror from Pebble Grey I jumped at the chance and kindly accepted their generous offer.

Pebble Grey are a company who specialise in market-leading, contemporary mirrors and modern bathroom accessories.   Not only are Pebble Grey’s extensive range of bathroom mirrors, cabinets and accessories stylish and at the forefront of design but they also transform the practicality of bathrooms by featuring pre-installed extras such as shaver sockets, demister pads and motion sensor switches.

Using their expertise on contemporary and illumined mirrors Pebble Grey have designed an LED cosmetic mirror.  The Pebble Grey LED Cosmetic Mirror is a well-made handheld compact mirror that is elegantly slim and fits easily in the palm of my hand, measuring only 1.5cm deep, 6cm wide and 8cm long.  The mirror’s hinge is a tad bulky but the strong hinge feels very sturdy and I doubt it would break easily unlike some cheap compact mirrors I have previously bought that have broken.

Pebble Grey gives the cosmetic mirror an air of luxury by presenting it in a sleek dark grey box branded with the Pebble Grey logo and by providing a luxurious velvet pouch to keep the mirror in to protect it from scratches, dirt and marks.  

The mirror’s casing is matt grey in colour and is adorned with the Pebble Grey logo on the front and a pretty swirly pattern on the back which even though simple in design adds a hint of femininity to the mirror, with the attractive design making the mirror more appealing, helping it to stand apart from other compact mirrors.

What I love most about this compact mirror is that it is an illuminated cosmetic mirror with 6 little LED lights embedded in one of the mirrors.  As soon as you open up the mirror the lights switch on, sparkling beautifully in the mirrors.  Depending on the time of day and the natural lighting you are in, these little lights can be a tad dazzling but thankfully the light bounces off one mirror onto the other mirror, allowing you to look into the mirror without lights and still see every area of your face very effectively without being dazzled.

Thanks to the 6 twinkling LED lights and the double sided mirrors this cosmetic mirror is a perfect beauty accessory as you can apply or touch up your make-up anytime, anywhere and have maximum lighting at all times and as the lights highlight all areas of the face, including areas that are often in shadow you can confidently blend your make-up perfectly with no unevenness.

Being a PCOS suffer with symptoms including bad skin and unwanted hairs this mirror is great at helping me see every inch of my face and keep on top of my beauty regime of finding and removing stray hairs and giving my skin some much need attention with lotions and potions to hopefully make my skin glow beautifully and keep the wrinkles at bay….wrinkles which unfortunately this little mirror is too good at showing!

Not only is this mirror great for effortless make-up application, it is also perfect for plucking eyebrows.  The LED lights and the mirror’s 2x magnification means that even light coloured, small hairs are visible making plucking eyebrows quick and effortless with no stray hairs left untouched.  I love the fact that now I have this illuminating handheld mirror I no longer have to lug my large lighted mirror to a power point to be able to use a mirror with lighting to effectively see hairs that need plucking….now I can relax anywhere at any time and have the perfect lighting for plucking and removing stray hairs.

As I love this mirror especially the illuminating, sparkling lights the only concern I have is how long will the battery for the LED lights last and when it does die would I be able to access the battery to replace it or would it simply be a matter of having to purchase another mirror.  Despite my slight concern over the longevity of the lights the fact that this mirror is made by a company who specialise in illuminated mirrors and that the mirror is of a high standard I suspect and hope that the mirror studded with 6 powerful lights will not stop working anytime soon as high quality materials and a decent battery will have been used and that my face will be beautifully lit with sparkling lights when using the mirror for a long, long time.

I think this high quality, versatile compact mirror would make a lovely luxury gift and is the perfect beauty accessory that is a great size for popping in your handbag so that you have mirrors with perfect lighting to hand at all times.
