We love books. We love
Christmas. We also love personalised items.
As we love all of the
above separately, the idea of a product that combines all three loves
in one product is very appealing to us.
The Magic Chair - The Search For Santa is a wonderful personalised children’s book with a
lovely Christmas story that takes your child on a magical adventure
as they search for Santa with the help of a magical chair.
As we love the above and
especially love adding a little bit more magic to Christmas for the
children we were delighted to have a personalised copy of the book
each for the boys.
The captivating
Christmas story sees your child’s character go on an enchanting
adventure through Santa’s Grotto and the Snowman’s Ball on a
search for Santa. The story can be personalised with your child’s
name and a character in their likeness.
Creating the book on The
Magic Chair website is a very easy and uncomplicated process. You
start by selecting the story you want then begin personalising it. As
you personalise the story you first enter your child’s name which
is not only seen on the front cover of the book but also throughout
the 30 beautifully illustrated pages of the book.
To make the book
more magical and personalised for your child you then create their
character by selecting a number of options. You can choose gender,
skin colour, hair style and colour, eye colour and whether they wear
glasses or not and the colour outfit the character will wear. As you
create the character and select different options you can see the
character on the screen.
To give the story a
touch more personalisation and make it extra special you can also add
a special, personal message to the front and back covers.
Once you have created
your child’s character you can preview a few pages of the book so
that you can check everything is correct before ordering.
A few days later a
parcel arrived with the books, arriving a lot quicker than I had
expected especially considering that it is a personalised product.
Each book was
beautifully wrapped in red tissue paper making them perfect for
gifting to your little one at Christmas.
The paperback book is
approximately 24.4 cm x 25 cm in size and the quality of the book and
illustrations is superb.
Bug was delighted and a
little in disbelief that the book had his name on the front cover and
quickly recognised the character as himself. Likewise he also recognised his little brother in the other book. The character I created
not only appears beautifully illustrated on the front cover but also
throughout the book along with his name.
The illustrations are
lovely and colourful and they along with the enchanting story help
bring the magic and excitement of Christmas alive for little ones.
The personalised element of the story book makes the book
stand-out as unique compared to other Christmas themed book
especially as it helps children immerse themselves in and engaged
with the story.
Whilst Jelly Bean does
not yet really grasp that the character is him he has enjoyed
snuggling with us and looking at the illustrations and listening to
the story. Even though he does not appreciate the personalised
element as much as Bug the book is a lovely keepsake and a wonderful
Christmas book to enjoy each year, and as he gets older he will come
to understand and love the book as much as his big brother does now.
We love the books and
love that the story captures the magic of Christmas whilst bringing
it alive to children in a exciting and personal way with them being
part of the story.
The Search For Santa
would be a lovely Christmas gift for a child especially as it is
perfect for a Christmas keepsake. It would be a wonderful addition to
a book advent calendar, a perfect Christmas book for a Christmas Eve
box or a gift from the elves.
The Magic Chair also
comes in 3 other adventures - The Magic Chair : The Original book,
Travel Through Time, and Adventures Around The World. Personalised
puzzles and cards are also available.
* We were sent copies of
The Magic Chair and the Search for Santa free of charge. However, all
opinions and words are my own *
