Goodbye Christmas for another year.

Christmas has been and gone for yet another year and my little man has experienced his first Christmas.  We had a lovely day as a little family and even though Tristan didn’t have a clue what was going on he seemed to enjoy the day and exploring and playing with his new toys.  It was lovely to see him opening his presents (with a little assistance from daddy), he loved ripping at the wrapping paper and it was a delight to see his face shining with happiness having fun with his daddy.

Alas Santa did not assist me with my wish list….I must have been naughty, ooppps!  Even though I could not treat my loved ones to what I would love to been able to give it was a lovely day and we managed to get what we wanted for Tristan.  Lee and I had already agreed that this year was all about Tristan and we would only get something small for Tristan to give to his mummy and daddy especially as last year was our first Christmas as a couple and we treated each other a lot with lovely gifts and we both agree Christmas is for children.

To my delight we got Tristan some lovely bits and we were lucky enough to have not spent very much at all.  We got him some lovely Fisher Price toys and a fun Smart Trike using our Tesco Clubcard points in their big exchange and we had enough to get them all for free!!  He loves his Fisher Price Amazing Animals Choo-choo Train and crawls madly after it and adores the Laugh and Learn Puppy's Animal Friends book we got him too.  We also got him some bath toys as he loves splashing around in the bath and we want him to have fun at bath time and some little toys.  I love the Bear rocking animal that Lee got for him when we went to the Baby Show in Manchester, it is adorable and very soft….Tristan looks so cute rocking on his bear.  Amazingly for what we managed to get for Tristan we hardly spent any money, with the little bits and bobs, bath toys and the bear (which was a bargain price) we spent less than £40!!

We had a lovely Christmas dinner at my mum’s house with my sister and the food was brilliant and very yummy as always.  Tristan is enjoying his food so much and munched on Christmas dinner too, feeding himself from the head of the table in his highchair.  The exciting and overwhelming day took its toll on the little man and as soon as we got home he fell fast asleep.

I look forward to Christmas 2012, hopefully it will be another lovely, happy family Christmas and Tristan will understand more and I look forward to his excitement and joy.

  1. It is amazing how we got so much for so little. We did the big clubcard exchange the year before when I was expecting and got loads of things ready for little man. I've got Tesco to thank for a lot of things. We've got one of his first birthday presents for March ready from Tesco in their competition that I won. Hope you had a lovely Christmas x

  2. Aww, sounds fabulous! I must shop more at Tesco this year so I get a decent amount of points for our little mans first Christmas! Great how you spent so little and got so much for him!
