As the end of summer
approaches and a new month on the horizon where school runs will once
again occupy my week days I need to have a wardrobe suitable for
hectic mornings and mad dashes to get the school run done on time.
With 2 demanding kids to get fed, washed and clothed in the morning
ready to head out to school to get there on time my own needs and
'look' often gets neglected.
Gone are the days that I
bother to get glammed up before setting foot outside of the house. My
hair is commonly styled in a messy bun or quick plait – living up
to stereotypical messy mum hair – and I don't have the time or
inclination to be fussed with doing my make-up.
Whilst I go for a low
maintenance look nowadays I still try to make an effort with my
outfit and like to look good for the school run and the rest of the
day.....no school runs done in PJ's here. To help make getting ready
in the morning quick, easy and hassle free I find having a few key
wardrobe essentials that can be dressed up or down, and worn with a
variety of clothes and accessories the way to go. Also getting my
outfit ready the night before helps as I can simply grab and go in
the morning rather than stress out on what looks good.
My favourite wardrobe
essentials are jeans. They are great for both a casual and glam look
when worn with different tops, jackets and accessories. They are hard
wearing which is a must-have for a busy mum who is always on the go
and playing with her little ones, whilst being comfortable to wear. I
also love how good jeans look too.
My favourite jeans are J Brand jeans from Trilogy Stores. Here are my current must-haves
(lust-haves) -
J Brand Houlihan in
Caledon – J Brand Sadey Slim Straight in Old Rose – J Brand 485
Jean in Eclipse
What are your wardrobe
essentials?
Do you have any tips on
how to look good when you've got limited time in the morning?
