Being Welsh, born and bred in rural Wales, I grew up surrounded by friends and family who loved and lived for the passionate game of Rugby. As Rugby is a massive part of the Welsh culture, especially where I grew up, it was hard not to get caught up in the excitement of the game and love a great pass!
Whilst I cannot call myself a die-hard Rugby fan and do not have impressive skills on the Rugby pitch, as Bug loves being active and is taking a keen interest in Rugby I love to encourage him and help him enjoy the game of Rugby.
As Bug is taking an interest in sports including Rugby when I heard about Allianz’s new campaign I thought it was a great way to encourage Bug’s interest in Rugby as well as be something fun for the whole family to get involved with. Plus it is a great way to get Bug active, burn off some of his excess energy and keep him busy during the summer holidays.
In honour of the 2014 Rugby World Cup Allianz have teamed up with Saracens RFC to bring people together and celebrate Rugby with their Pass Around The World campaign.
Allianz are asking individuals and groups, families and friends, to get involved in the fun campaign by filming a rugby pass and uploading their pass to the website.
Take a look at this video to see some of the passes already filmed and uploaded to the Pass Around The World website.
If you want to get involved in the Rugby fun taking part is simple. All you need is a mobile phone that can film your pass and enthusiasm to master your Rugby passing skills. For more details of how to take part in the campaign take a look at www.passaroundtheworld.com
All passes that are uploaded to the website will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win some great prizes including a £150 Ticketmaster voucher and Saracen prizes such as signed Rugby balls.
We have loved watching the passes uploaded so far and are planning on making our video showcasing our Rugby passing skills this weekend.
Grab a Rugby ball and show us your pass!
