Saying goodbye to the SnüzPod.

Unfortunately a little while ago the time arrived when we had to say goodbye to the SnüzPod. The SnüzPod by Snüz was heavenly and well loved. Thanks to The Little Green Sheep we enjoyed a blissful 6 months of safe co-sleeping with our baby.

As I loved the SnüzPod so much I must admit I am finding it a little hard that we cannot use it any longer. Whilst we have set up Jelly Bean in his own cot passed down from his big brother to make the transition a little easier for me I would love the following items from my own nursery wish list.........having things you love and have lusted after for ages always helps right?

Cosatto Cot Bed
Whilst one could argue that the cot that Jelly Bean has now is more than adequate as I have loved Cosatto from afar for many years now I would be over the moon to own a little piece of Cosatto. Being just as lovely as the Cosatto pushchairs I adore is their cot beds as such having one for my beautiful baby boy to sleep in is top of my wish list.

toTs by smarTrike.

Renowned and multi-award winning outdoor toy brand smarTrike have launched a new range called toTs. The new range which consists of changing bags, towels, bedding, muslins, comforters and other baby essentials was officially launched last week.

As we were lucky enough to have a sneak peek at the beautiful new toTs by smarTrike range with Jelly Bean being sent some lovely muslins and a super soft comforter toy, I thought I would take a little look at the range.

Our home, our story - #MyHomeStories

I believe a house becomes a home through the memories and experiences you have there. As you live your life and put your stamp on your house, the house you live in becomes intertwined in the memories of your life.

As I look around our home memories of events and milestones achieved are sparked. Our home is the backdrop to our life, as well as being a roof over our heads it is a safe, special place that we can make memories, enjoy family life and express our characters through DIY and home décor.

As the saying goes ‘if these walls could talk’ it would have a lot to say.

Our home has our story.

A nursery created with love.

Whilst Jelly Bean is currently in our bedroom, snoozing snugly next to our bed in his SnuzPod the time will come when he leaves our room to his own little space in the house.

Designing and creating a nursery for our little bundle of love, a beautiful space created with love, allows me to browse a vast range of nursery and baby products to find the perfect ones for us.

Thanks to the inspirational Homify I have found a number of gorgeous items that would create a unique and beautiful space for our little Jelly Bean once the time comes for him to fly the nest and leave the safety of our bedroom.

As I want to create a unique space made with love I want a stunning and unusual cotbed as the centrepiece of the room. The Elephant Cotbed by Adorable Tots most definitely fits the bill! The striking cotbed suits our eclectic style and our love of animals, especially elephants.

Nesting and building a SnuzPod

As my pregnancy progressed and neared the end till the time I finally got to meet my new baby, my nesting instincts well and truly kicked in.

The house had been blitzed and had some major TLC.

Bug’s bedroom had been slowly transformed so that he has a big boy bedroom as a treat ready for when he becomes a big brother.

I had lovingly washed and tidied away the baby clothes and cloth nappies ready for Jelly Bean’s arrival.

I had been making my own babywearing wrap to add to my collection of babywearing wraps and carriers ready for snuggles and babywearing with my new baby.

We had been putting together Bug’s old baby swinging seat and playmats.

Lee had fitted the car seat base and seat in our car ready for when the day arrived when we got to bring Jelly Bean home for the beginning of family life as a family of 4.

We had been creating a space for Jelly Bean in our bedroom with The Little Green Sheep’s Dove Grey SnuzPod taking centre stage - much to my delight as a SnuzPod was one of my dream baby items.

Five suggestions for decorating the nursery when preparing for a new arrival.

During the exciting time of expecting a baby there comes the time to decorate the nursery ready for your new arrival.  Whilst creating a beautiful nursery for your little baby, why not revamp your own room to create a place to relax and sleep (on those rare occasions when you get the chance that is!).

Here we look at five top suggestions.

1. Be “different” with colour
The usual pinks and blues aren’t the only choices when decorating a nursery.  Neutrals, pale yellows, mint greens all work well if you don’t yet know whether it’s a boy or a girl and you can extend the colour to your own room too if it’s in need of a facelift.  Make it stand out with a bright pop of colour on a “feature wall” and pick up the same bright colour in curtains or bedding for something truly special.
