Saying goodbye to the SnüzPod.

Unfortunately a little while ago the time arrived when we had to say goodbye to the SnüzPod. The SnüzPod by Snüz was heavenly and well loved. Thanks to The Little Green Sheep we enjoyed a blissful 6 months of safe co-sleeping with our baby.

As I loved the SnüzPod so much I must admit I am finding it a little hard that we cannot use it any longer. Whilst we have set up Jelly Bean in his own cot passed down from his big brother to make the transition a little easier for me I would love the following items from my own nursery wish list.........having things you love and have lusted after for ages always helps right?

Cosatto Cot Bed
Whilst one could argue that the cot that Jelly Bean has now is more than adequate as I have loved Cosatto from afar for many years now I would be over the moon to own a little piece of Cosatto. Being just as lovely as the Cosatto pushchairs I adore is their cot beds as such having one for my beautiful baby boy to sleep in is top of my wish list.

Protecting the mattress – Organic Mattress Protector by The Little Green Sheep.

Whilst Bug has been potty trained and dry at night for nigh on 3 years, on the odd occasion he has been poorly, drinking more fluids and not as quick as he normally would, there have been a few near misses that have endangered keeping his mattress clean and dry. As I believe it is best to be prepared and cover ‘what ifs’ I have always made sure that we have a mattress protector on his bed just in case of accidents whether they are toilet related ones or drink spills.

Having been impressed with The Little Green Sheep’s SnuzPod and the quality of the Snuz mattress protector for it, I was delighted when The Little Green Sheep offered the chance to try out their single bed size Organic Mattress Protector on Bug’s bed.

SnüzPod Pocket - another reason to love Snüz.

We love our SnüzPod and can’t rate it highly enough. One of the things I love about the SnüzPod is storage space that is included in the design.

The clever people at Snüz have once again outshone themselves and made the SnüzPod even better and added storage space to it thanks to their new SnüzPod Pocket.

The Pocket is the essential storage solution for the SnüzPod, adding even more storage space to the amazing 3-in-1 bedside crib.

Snoozin’ In The Animal Kingdom.

As a parent who rarely gets enough sleep I find the topic of sleep rather interesting, even if it is just to get jealous over those who get a lot more sleep than I do! To be fair Jelly Bean is a great little sleep, being much better than his big brother Bug who NEVER slept as a baby, but due to illness gripping our entire household for the last few weeks with both my baby boys wanting me and being ill myself I feel like I haven’t sleep for a long time.

As the topic of sleep is interesting to me I am always reading articles on the topic, usually ones that talk about how to get a better night’s sleep. As articles on the topic of sleep commonly talk about how to get a better night’s sleep, providing tips on how to sleep better I found it refreshing to read a fascinating infographic by Mattress Next Day on how different animals sleep.

Looking at the sleep habits of a range of animals the interesting and informative infographic talks about how animals sleep, the amount of sleep they get and how the adults and infants differ. I did not realise how little sleep adult sheep get, an average 3.8 hours of sleep in fact which with my lack of sleep of lack makes me feel like I have a lot in common with sheep! As well as the lack of sleep I feel a kinship with sheep as like Jelly Bean and I who sleep close with him snuggled next to me in his SnuzPod by my bed, infant sheep find their mothers and sleep as close to her as possible.

Holidaying at the hospital

News of Jelly Bean since his arrival has been ghostly sparse.

All intentions of writing updates about my beautiful baby and sharing his birth story has been overshadowed by fun and adventures with Bug and Jelly Bean over the school holidays along with health issues that poor Jelly Bean has been suffering with.

He was born healthy but has had a few little issues since then.

SnuzPod Love.

We have been using our SnuzPod for a few weeks now as we enjoy life with Jelly Bean.

Both Lee and I are very impressed with it and I wish I had had one with Bug when he was a baby, being truly grateful that I have one in my life now for Jelly Bean and hopefully any other babies we have.

I really cannot say how much we love the SnuzPod.

To try and express how much we love the SnuzPod I thought I would share with you 5 reasons why we have big SnuzPod Love.

1 – Design and easy assembly
Whilst Lee insisted on doing the daddy DIY and putting the SnuzPod together when I was pregnant ready for Jelly Bean’s arrival I watched him assemble it and we are both impressed with how easy it was assemble. The SnuzPod’s clever design made assembly easy and simple.

We also appreciate the safety feature of attachment straps to secure the SnuzPod safely to beds when used as a bedside crib. Attaching it to the bed is easy and simple and this design feature provides peace of mind that it can be safely used as a beside crib.

SnuzPod sleep.

After Lee assembled our lovely coloured Dove Grey SnuzPod from The Little Green Sheep all we had to do was eagerly await the arrival of Jelly Bean so that we could begin using it and see how much we liked the impressive looking features such as being a 3-in-1 crib (bedside crib, stand-alone crib and bassinet) and see through zip mesh wall, rocking motion.

Nesting and building a SnuzPod

As my pregnancy progressed and neared the end till the time I finally got to meet my new baby, my nesting instincts well and truly kicked in.

The house had been blitzed and had some major TLC.

Bug’s bedroom had been slowly transformed so that he has a big boy bedroom as a treat ready for when he becomes a big brother.

I had lovingly washed and tidied away the baby clothes and cloth nappies ready for Jelly Bean’s arrival.

I had been making my own babywearing wrap to add to my collection of babywearing wraps and carriers ready for snuggles and babywearing with my new baby.

We had been putting together Bug’s old baby swinging seat and playmats.

Lee had fitted the car seat base and seat in our car ready for when the day arrived when we got to bring Jelly Bean home for the beginning of family life as a family of 4.

We had been creating a space for Jelly Bean in our bedroom with The Little Green Sheep’s Dove Grey SnuzPod taking centre stage - much to my delight as a SnuzPod was one of my dream baby items.

Baby wishlist.

Whilst we are fortunate enough to have kept all of Bug’s baby things including clothes, toys and other baby essentials and do not really need to buy anything in particular for Jelly Bean’s arrival there are a few things that I would love to get.

Being super excited about the arrival of our second baby I cannot help look at all the lovely baby products available on the market and lust after a few things that we never had with Bug.

I do not need these things but want these things.

As I am in the midst of nesting I find myself creating baby wish lists of gorgeous and useful things that would be the cherry on the top of all the things we already have for Jelly Bean.
