Bedtime - See It, Snap It, Love It

A while ago I joined in on a brilliant weekly photograph linky challenege called See It, Snap It, Love It on the beautiful blog Dear Beautiful Boy. I managed to participate a few times; capturing photographs for the themes Sky, Red, Eyes, Water and Love.

I enjoy taking photographs, capturing precious moments in time and I found Dear Beautiful Boy’s photograph challenge a lot of fun and inspirational. Unfortunately I lost track, missed a few weeks and as life got in the way I stopped joining in, simply admiring the beautiful and interesting photographs from afar.

Even though I have still been capturing moments, catching them in the bubble of a photograph to treasure forever I have missed the challenge set by the weekly themes on the See It, Snap It, Love It photograph challenge. So I have decided to jump into the challenge once more and hopefully link up each week and carry on doing so.

This week’s theme of 'Bedtime' is nearly closed and next week’s theme has already been chosen, with the challenge being ‘Ten’. Even though the Bedtime challenge is nearing its end I want to link up to it to try and get back in the groove. 

As I am late in the game for this week, for the theme Bedtime I am linking up a photograph I took a little while ago instead of taking a new photograph. 

I absolutely love this photograph of little man sound asleep in the land of nod cuddling up to his little lamb. He looks so sweet and innocent with the peace of sweet sleep radiating from him.

Love - See It, Snap It, Love It

This week's theme for Dear Beautiful Boys' See It, Snap It, Love It challenge was 'love'.

I've predictably chosen the love of my life, my world, my little man.

Water - See It, Snap It, Love It

This week's theme for Dear Beautiful Boy's weekly See It, Snap It, Love It photography challenge is water.  If I had to choose a theme I would have chosen water too so I am pleased that it is this week's theme.


I love water and Mother Nature has created some stunning rivers, waterfalls and oceans which are beautiful and amazing.  I have always been fascinated by the oceans and the creatures who inhabit them.  I love the sound of running water, the sound of a river flowing is a calming noise and there is nothing quite like being curdled up at home listening to the sound of the rain outside. Not only does water look and sound great but it has other amazing qualities too, it replenishes us and gives life to plants and animals.

Eye!!

This bronze eye is for the lovely Dear Beautiful Boy's weekly photography challenge - See It, Snap It, Love It with this week's theme obviously being Eyes.

Red - See It, Snap It, Love It.

Once upon a time I was regular used,

But now I am forgotten and left unused.

People would come to me to make their calls,

So many stories I've heard in my four walls.

My beautiful red has lost it's sheen,

Once upon a time I used to gleam.

Even though dull I'm still proud of my colour,

Some of my friends sadly look even duller.

They have been sun-kissed and weather worn,

Now pink and sad, no longer red and left forlorn.

I'm called a British icon, a well known and loved sight,

Still iconic and recognizable even though my red is no longer bright.

I took this picture for the See it, Snap it, Love it weekly photography challenge from Dear Beautiful Boy for the theme 'Red'.  Sadly due to unforseen technical errors (technology is great until it won't work!) I couldn't get this posted in time to link up properly as the linky is now closed but I thought I might as well post it anyway.  The other lovely photographs taken for this challenge can be seen over on Dear Beautiful Boy's blog on the page for this 'red' theme.  The new theme is 'Eyes' and hopefully I can be more organised and avoid any technical errors and link up properly.

I was just reading Rollecoaster Mum’s blog post about her bloggers half termblock and admiring her beautiful sky pictures that she was linking up with DearBeautiful Boy’s See it Snap it Love it photography challenge and I just had to join in with such a brilliant photography challenge.
