Creating a great welcome email

AD

Even though my blog is now a number of years old I have never really had a email newsletter. A number of years ago I dabbled with the idea of setting up a email newsletter to keep my subscribers informed with new posts but I found the process daunting and soon decided against it.

However recently I have been reconsidering the idea and think that it would be good to have a email newsletter for my blog. Personally I am subscribed to many email newsletters of blogs I read and find them good for keeping me up-to-date when new blog posts are published.

But how do I make my email newsletters interesting and exciting? In a bid to make my email newsletters appealing to subscribers and not just another email in their inbox that they find boring or bin straight away without even reading, I have been researching email marketing tips.

Logo design made easy with LogoJoy

When I first started blogging my blog was called Bumps 2 Babies. After choosing the name the next step was to create a logo and design my blog space. As my blog grew I decided my blog name was not one that would grow with me over time or represent me and my family. A blog overhaul was in need.

After a lot of thinking and a little help from my other half I decided on my blog name - Where Roots And Wings Entwine.

Social Media and Marketing for Bloggers survey

Over the past few years social media has become integrated into my daily life. My first dalliance with social media was way back when MySpace and MSN messenger was all the rage.

Then Facebook entered my life. At first it was all about catching up with old school friends then when I became a pregnant and then a mum it was a gateway to a group of fellow mums who I could chat with who were friendly and supportive. Living away from family it was also a way to share with loved ones pictures and stories of our family.
