Rockin' Baby roar-some kids clothing!

On Friday the 25th March London Zoo will be opening to the public its brand new Lion enclosure Land of the Lions which was unveiled by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh on Thursday the 17th March.

Today we awoke to the first frost of this winter. Whilst other areas of the country has seen the frost and snow before now, until today the closest we got to winter’s harsh frost has been a bitter chill in the wind. As winter has finally made its appearance and the days have turned icy cold and the nights frosty it seemed fitting that Jelly Bean was dressed up in a wintery themed outfit.

Inspiring thoughts of snow and cold, this super cute Freezin’ Christmas 2 piece was the perfect for our first frosty winter day.

The adorable penguin evokes thoughts of winter. The penguin is a lovely design with the rosy red cheeks and red feet standing out from the lovely grey of the penguin and the crisp white top.

Baby clothes wish list - George clothing at Asda.

With Jelly Bean growing fast it is surprising how quickly I am packing away clothes that are too small for him whilst reaching for bigger sized clothes. Even though we have a lot of clothes for him from when Bug was a baby as they were born during different times of the year we are not fully equipped with the right sizes during the different seasons. As a lot of the winter clothes we have are still too big for Jelly Bean as Bug was older during his first winter I do need to pad out his winter wardrobe.

Also whilst I have no qualms about hand-me-down clothes or second hand clothes (love charity shop buys!) it is lovely to treat Jelly Bean to a few outfits that are brand sparkly new. Shopping to complete his winter wardrobe and get a few new bits for him is always a great excuse for me to do baby clothes shopping which I love!

Since becoming a parent I have often bought the same brand clothing for my little ones, sticking with a few favourite brands one of whom is George at Asda.

As I love the baby clothes from George, thanks to their excellent prices, cute designs and high quality that withstands tough use brilliantly I often find myself adding more than a few clothes from their range to my basket (in-store and online) as well as creating wish lists.

Rockin' Christmas kids clothes.

Every Christmas day since I was a young child after a morning spent opening Christmas presents and excitedly playing with the new toys and goodies (boxes too I’m sure) we would get dressed up in smart, fancy clothes for the rest of the day which we would enjoy with family as we tucked into the eagerly anticipated delicious Christmas dinner.

As I have fond memories of the Christmases of my childhood, now that I am a parent I am introducing family traditions from my childhood into my own little family. Looking at photographs from past Christmases from when I was a child I love that we used to dress up in our best clothes, often new clothes we had been gifted that day.

Bringing the tradition of dressing in lovely clothes for Christmas day after a morning of wearing PJ’s from our Christmas eve box as we open the presents under the tree and in our stockings from Santa, I like to get Bug, and now Jelly Bean too, a lovely new outfit.

As we adore our Rockin' Baby ring sling and love our Rockin’ Baby’s kidswear clothing, being very impressed with the quality and design, having an outfit from Rockin’ Baby for Bug and Jelly Bean as their Christmas day outfits seemed to be a rockingly good idea.

Winter clothes for my baby boy – Joules wish list

Now that we are in winter and Jelly Bean is growing fast it is time for me to think about updating his wardrobe with some new winter clothes so I can keep my baby boy warm and cosy.

The need for new baby clothes gives me the ideal excuse to indulge in some virtual window shopping as I create wish lists of adorable clothes for my little baby.

Rockin' kids clothing - Rockin' Baby kidswear collection.

Recently we were fortunate to be able to try out a Rockin’ Baby Ring Sling. As Jelly Bean and I enjoyed the benefits of babywearing in the beautiful Rose of My Heart Reversible Ring Sling which we fell in love with thanks to the lovely design and high quality I was delighted to see that Rockin’ Baby have branched out from rockin’ babywearing ring slings and pouches to a rockin’ kidswear collection.

The Rockin’Baby kidswear collection is a lovely assortment of clothing from newborn to aged 10.

As I love and appreciate Rockin’ Baby’s charity initiative ‘Mother to Mother’ where for every sling purchased they give a Hero sling to a Haitian mother in need, I love that they have incorporated the ‘giving to those in need’ concept to their kidswear range.

Hospital bag packing.

Now that I am in my third trimester it has become the inevitable time to think about packing my hospital bag with essentials for labour and with things needed for both myself and Jelly Bean after the birth.

When I had Bug I found that I ended up with what seemed a bazillion bags which weighed poor Lee down like a donkey on its last legs so this time round I wanted to limit myself to 2 bags - a labour bag and a bag for after the birth – at the most.

Thankfully Caboodle bags have come to my rescue with their Fun and Funky Mink Stars BabyChanging Bag which thanks to its impressive size is perfect as a hospital bag. As the bag holds so much it is perfect for holding all essentials needed in my hospital bag along with a few extras just in case our stay at the hospital is longer than hoped.
