Disney on Ice presents Into the Magic show review

In our home, Disney is a trustworthy source of joy and family bonding. The magic of Disney is enchanting.

My love of Disney began many moons ago when I was a child, with films and trips to Disney parks being treasured memories from my childhood.

With the experience of Disney magic being one that transcends age, for me Disney provides wonderful nostalgia and a connection to my inner child. Being a parent I can re-experience the magic with my children; with Disney films, toys and experiences creating beloved shared family moments as I witness them enjoy the wonder that Disney evokes as they are bewitched by the magic of Disney.

As my boys love all things Disney, with them all having their own favourite films and characters, Disney on Ice is a show they love. Both my eldest and middle have seen Disney on Ice shows a couple of times with them being enthralled by Disney on Ice 100 Years of Magic and enchanted with Disney on Ice Worlds of Enchantment show. However, my youngest who has also fallen in love with Disney as he grows up has never experienced a spellbinding Disney on Ice show and often asks to see one as well as go to a Disney theme park.

Whilst his dream of visiting a Disney theme park has not quite been achieved yet, but I am working on it, his wish to see a Disney on Ice show came true the other week when we watched Disney on Ice presents into the Magic in Cardiff at the Ultilita arena.

Coral Island Blackpool - review

#GIFTED

Blackpool holds a special place in our hearts. It was the place where Lee and I had our first holiday together when we first started dating back when we were in a long distance relationship. Fast forward nearly 10 years, 2 kids and a 3rd on the way and we recently returned to Blackpool for a family holiday.

We enjoyed a few days at Blackpool, exploring the sights and attractions it has to offer to families. Walks along the famous promenade, eating ice cream on the pier, riding the trams which the kids thought was really cool and visiting the iconic Blackpool tower.

We also had a wonderful family day out at Coral Island Blackpool.

Coral Island
Coral Island is a pirate-themed family friendly indoor fun park filled with arcade games, slots, rides and so much more. With views of Blackpool’s beautiful beach it sits in the heart of Blackpool famous golden mile at the center of the promenade.

Located near the central pier, close to the iconic Blackpool tower and a short walk to the SeaLife centre and Madame Tussauds, Coral Island is Blackpool's largest indoor free admission family friendly attraction.

What to do on a week long family holiday in North Devon

North Devon is one the most popular holiday destinations in the UK but despite this, it still retains an old-world charm that keeps us coming back year after year. From the dazzling coastline of Saunton Sands to the medieval charms of Barnstable, there really is something for everyone in this magical part of the UK.

Lightwater Valley - review

#GIFTED

Last week when we were on our summer staycation visiting Lee's side of the family in Leeds we took our thrill-seeking boys to Lightwater Valley Theme Park in Ripon, North Yorkshire.

Having never been to Lightwater Valley before we checked out their website beforehand to see what attractions the park had to offer. Much to their delight they saw a number of rides and attractions they couldn't wait to try including the Wild River Rapids and Jumpin' Jack's Pillows.

Chester Zoo 2019

Chester Zoo is one of my favourite family attractions in the UK and holds a special place in my heart. As a child we often visited Chester Zoo whilst on family holidays and it was always a fun and exciting time, as such our visits there are some of the fondest memories I have from my childhood.  It was also one of the family attractions we visited when on our first family holiday with our eldest child when he was a toddler. He was so excited to see the amazing animals as we explored the expansive zoo.

Fast forward a few years and we again visited Chester Zoo again during our first holiday as a family of four. Again we created many fun memories that I treasure during our visit to Chester Zoo. Back in the summer of 2017 during our first family holiday as a family of four the boys loved seeing the magnificent animals, adored the boat ride on The Islands and had lots of fun playing in the PLAY! Space.

As we are planning a UK staycation family holiday for this summer where we will be travelling from Pembrokeshire up to North Wales and then across the North of England, we have decided to stop in Chester for a few days. As we love Chester Zoo and have had many wonderful visits there it is no surprise that we plan on visiting yet again this summer. With that in mind as part of planning for our summer 2019 family holiday I have been looking at what plans Chester Zoo has for this year.

Staycation 2019

This year we are planning a UK staycation family holiday for the summer where we will be travelling from Pembrokeshire up to North Wales and then across the North of England visiting a number of locations including Chester, Blackpool, Leeds and Scarborough.

Whilst it is going to be lots of travelling we are going to breaking up the journey with a few days at various locations where we will be exploring the area and visiting local family friendly attractions. Not only is it a lovely way for us to see and explore more of what wonderful Great Britain has to offer but by heading North it allows us to also visit Lee’s family in Leeds.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2019

This summer has been filled with memories from my childhood. I have found myself reminiscing about days gone by whilst recreating adventures from my childhood with my own children.

I've loved this summer. It has echoed the summer days of my childhood as we've raced around on go-carts, gone to pick-your-own fruit farms to fill baskets overflowing with strawberries, swam in the sea, built dens in the woods, played cricket and got purple stained fingers from picking wild blackberries in the field hedgerows.

Walking With Dinosaurs The Arena Spectacular review

When I heard that the Walking With Dinosaurs Arena Spectacular show was stomping to arenas across the UK on a final dinotastic tour I was eager to witness the world renowned show before it becomes extinct.

Like most kids my boys are fascinated by dinosaurs. My youngest loves dinosaur shows such as Dinosaur Train and Andy’s Dinosaur Adventures, adores dinosaur toys and is fanatic about imaginative dinosaur play and dressing up as dinosaurs. Not only does my eldest also share the same dinosaur interests as his little brother but his obsession has progressed to being interested in learning everything and anything scientific about dinosaurs. The beauty of dinosaurs is that there is always more for him to learn as paleontologists discover new dinosaurs and facts all the time plus dinosaurs leave awesome skeletons and fossils.
