Back to school shoes with Jake Shoes

The summer holidays has been an amazing time. It has been lovely spending quality time with both of the kids, especially with the youngest set to start school part time in the nursery in a few days time. In spite of the odd argument between the two and juggling keeping them entertained without breaking the bank - yay for free/cheap days out to the park, beach and woods! - it has been a wonderful time especially with a holiday away which was fantastic.

Like most other parents across the country with school aged children I have also had the mighty task of dealing with back to school shopping. This year it has been double the work as we have had to kit out both kids ready for school. Apart from the school logo clothing that we have to buy from the school I bought the rest of their school uniforms at the beginning of August before we went on holiday. Trust me I breathed a sigh of relief when it was done as back to school shopping can be a nightmare.

Dreaming of shoes - wishlist.

I have a soft spot for shoes. When shopping I much prefer to shop for shoes than clothes…..most probably due to the fact that I find it easier to find shoes that fit and look good on me compared to clothes!

As I love shoes and shopping for shoes I often find myself perusing the good old internet for shoes, creating shoe wishlists and dreaming of all the lovely shoes I would love to buy myself to adorn my feet if I had plenty of money burning a hole in my purse.

Sandals and flip flops
Whilst I adore all shoes, appreciating the beauty of all styles my weakness in the shoe department is sandals and flip flops (much to Lee’s annoyance as he hates flip flops with a passion whilst I love them and wear them almost daily). I wear sandals and flip flops throughout the year perhaps foolishly of me, regardless of the weather.

As I love sandals and flip flops so much no shoe wishlist of mine would be complete without a few beautiful sandals and flip flops.

Stylish shoes to adorn my feet this Spring/Summer.

With the welcome return of sunny days as I enjoy Spring and eagerly await Summer, my Spring Summer wardrobes can once again make an appearance. Not only can I showcase skirts, dresses, shorts and all other summery items of clothing and enjoy trends such as pretty pastels, festival style and dainty florals; I can also satisfy my love of shoes with Spring Summer shoe collections.

Having a fondness……okay little obsession…..with shoes I love admiring new shoes collections, lusting over the gorgeous pairs of shoes I want to own so they can adorn my feet.

As I have a love of classic bohemian 70s style fashion I have fallen in love with a number of shoes from the Wanderlust collection by Jones Bootmaker. The Wanderlust shoes from the Jones Bootmaker Spring Summer 15 collection feature styles perfect for the free spirited individual who loves eclectic yet contemporary style.

The Baby Shoe Company Soft Sole Shoes Review

Tristan doesn’t stays till for one minute!  He is crawling, cruising furniture like a pro and tentatively taking his first steps.  Knowing that being bare footed is best for his adorable, little feet for the majority of the time he is bare footed but at times being bare footed isn’t suitable and he needs something on his feet to keep them warm and protected.  Socks and slippers never stay on for very long and I don’t like shoes that restrict his feet so I am always on the look out for some cute soft shoes for little man.  When I was given the opportunity to test and review some soft leather shoes I just couldn’t resist.

Daisy Roots Shoes Review

I was delighted when the lovely people at Daisy Roots offered me the opportunity to test and review a pair of their gorgeous little soft, leather shoes. We chose the ‘Dragon’ ones in size medium, 6-12 months for Bug. I was attracted to the ‘Dragon’ because of the lovely colours and because I am Welsh I thought a lovely red dragon was very apt for Bug with him being half Welsh.
