Celebrity-inspired knitwear looks

Celebrities impact not just red carpet trends, but also everyday fashion choices. When it comes to knitwear, these fashionistas provide a wealth of covetable outfits that blend comfort and attractiveness. This article looks at several notable celebrity sweater combinations that have caused "sweater envy."

  1. Emma Watson’s casual chic

Emma Watson, known for her casual style, has been photographed wearing a basic crewneck sweater. She radiates casual elegance by wearing it with high-waisted denim and ankle boots. This style exemplifies how a basic sweater can be transformed into an outfit that is both comfy and attractive.

  1. Taylor Swift’s cable knit sophistication

Taylor Swift's passion for vintage-inspired clothing extends to her knitwear choices. She has been seen wearing cable-knit sweaters in rich colors, giving a comfortable yet stylish style. This look appeals to individuals who value the timeless appeal of traditional knitwear.

  1. Rihanna’s oversized edge

Rihanna's daring wardrobe choices include huge jumpers that radiate confidence. She wears these bulky sweaters with anything from tiny skirts to leather trousers, creating an edgy yet comfy look that draws attention.

  1. Kate Middleton’s royal elegance

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, exemplifies how knitwear can be both royal and friendly. She frequently wears exquisite cardigans with dresses or skirts to give warmth and elegance to her outfits. Her look exudes classic sophistication.

  1. Zendaya’s playful patterns

Celebrities' knitwear selections are no exception to being a source of fashion inspiration. Each celebrity-inspired sweater design gives an insight into how to flawlessly blend comfort and style, from Emma Watson's casual chic to Taylor Swift's cable-knit refinement, Rihanna's oversized edge to Kate Middleton's regal grace.

Back to school shoes with Jake Shoes

The summer holidays has been an amazing time. It has been lovely spending quality time with both of the kids, especially with the youngest set to start school part time in the nursery in a few days time. In spite of the odd argument between the two and juggling keeping them entertained without breaking the bank - yay for free/cheap days out to the park, beach and woods! - it has been a wonderful time especially with a holiday away which was fantastic.

Like most other parents across the country with school aged children I have also had the mighty task of dealing with back to school shopping. This year it has been double the work as we have had to kit out both kids ready for school. Apart from the school logo clothing that we have to buy from the school I bought the rest of their school uniforms at the beginning of August before we went on holiday. Trust me I breathed a sigh of relief when it was done as back to school shopping can be a nightmare.

Home interior design styles

When Lee and I moved in with each other after a long distance relationship it soon became apparent that whilst we shared many interests and a love for each other, our home styles and decor tastes differed greatly.

Over the years it has been a struggle to combine our differing styles and often there has been a lot of compromise when decorating our home and making home improvements.

Whilst I have naturally curly hair, my curls are wild and tend to be at times wavy and very frizzy. Unfortunately I do not have sleek defined curls that are true curls without a hint of wavy hair or frizz.

The Lee Stafford Curl Your Heart Out Cone Wand is a sleek curling wand that showcases a hot pink handle and silver ceramic barrel. The wand is lightweight to hold and use. The high quality and very effective cone shaped wand creates a gorgeous curls that waterfall from root to tip.

The wand has a maximum temperature of 210°C and heats up very quickly. For safety the wand is supplied with a useful heat-proof glove that helps you protect your hand from the heat of the wand whilst curling your hair.

2017 Lighting trends

Every new year sees a new set of trends. As the year rolls on and seasons come and go, styles and popular trends also come and go. From fashion to interiors to gadgets, trends can have a huge impact on what we see in the shops and the way we style ourselves and our homes along with the purchases we make.

Lighting is no exception. As we welcome in a new year, we also see new lighting trends that inspire to transform lighting and the style of our homes. As with most trends there are a few classic styles that never seem to go out of fashion, styles that are so brand new and innovative they are a breath of fresh air, and trends that come and go every few years.

When it comes to any trends it is worthwhile bearing in mind personal taste and whether the style works well in your home and if it fits in comfortably with the rest of your home style. There is no point keeping up with the Jones’ if you go all out on all the must-have trends and overshadow your own sense of style and taste.

Incorporating current trends into your home can work well when you combine styles whilst keeping in mind your own tastes. For example when looking at lighting the trend of Industrial lighting it works well with a rustic or minimalist home decor style. Likewise Vintage and Ornate lighting pairs well with a Shabby Chic or Luxury home decor style.

Why I love my mum.

With mother’s day fast approaching my thoughts have inevitably turned to thinking about my mother and my late Mamgu (grandmother) who I thought of as my second mum. Whilst we do not really adopt the commercial aspect of mother’s day with gift giving, the day is a good reminder to appreciate, enjoy quality with and thank my mum, as well as remember my Mamgu.

As a number of my friends sadly no longer have their mums in their life, I find myself being extra grateful that I am fortunate enough to still have my mum.

And when I Wynsors World of Shoes got in contact about their Mother’s Day campaign to celebrate the relationship I have with my mum and how her and her style have inspired me I got thinking about how my mum has influenced both me as a person and my style. With that in mind I have been thinking about some of the many, many reasons why I love and appreciate my mum.

Style
I love my mum’s style and admire how she is comfortable and confident with how she looks. I often use her style as inspiration for outfits for myself and ask her opinion on what I should wear or whether a particular item looks good or not.

Race day style.

Not only does summertime mean the welcoming of sunny days spent at the beach and BBQ’s aplenty it also means the chance to dress up for summer weddings and summertime formal occasions such as race days.

Whilst I have yet to attend a race day, as I would love to do so one day and dress to impress at the most anticipated summertime formal occasion Ascot’s Ladies Day, I often find myself imaging what show-stopping outfit I would wear to grace the event.

Whilst unfortunately I cannot attend the races at the Royal Ascot this year again – which may be a good thing as I don’t know how glamourous and comfortable I could be this year thanks to my ever-expansive baby bump – a girl can dream and have fun thinking about her ideal race day outfit.

My red carpet beauty look.

In celebration of BAFTA season, House of Fraser have invited bloggers to create their own red carpet beauty look.

Whilst my own style and beauty skills may be a little lot lacking most of the time especially thanks to so little time and energy needed to beautify myself plus a severe lack of funds to have a spending spree on make-up, beauty products and clothes, I love everything beauty and fashion related.  I admire other people’s style and beauty and especially love this time of year when I can check pout the beauty and style trends hitting the red carpet at the BAFTA’s.

As I love watching the beauty and styles seen on the red carpet when I heard about House of Fraser’s Red Carpet Beauty Look competition, where bloggers have a chance of winning a £100 House of Fraser voucher for creating their own red carpet beauty look I had to take part.  Being a huge fan of House of Fraser was a driving force in me entering this competition along with my hope of taking better care of myself.  As I want to look after myself a little better I thought this competition would be a great starting point so I thought I would be brave and take a step out of my comfort zone of not taking photographs of myself and dedicated some ‘me’ time in an attempt to beautify myself and create my own red carpet look.

Whilst I love the classic, glamorous Fifties inspired style often seen on Angelina Jolie and Dita Von Teese thanks to a very limited make-up bag I simply did not have the make-up to attempt to achieve a timeless red carpet look with pale complexion, cat-eye liner, fully bodied lashes and bold red lips.
