Birthday gifts perfect for my 5 year old boy.

With Bug's birthday fast approaching in only a matter of weeks my thoughts have turned to what gifts to get him to celebrate the big day he turns 5.

Thankfully he has not reached the age where he is demanding one particular extra special thing that if he did not get his birthday would be ruined. He is quite an easy going child with a lot of different interests and a few predictable loves. To help us decide what to treat our boy to he has marked out a few toys and products in the catalogue which he would love.

As I have been delayed on present buying thanks to the sickness bug from school hitting the whole household hard, with poor Bug getting it a second time a week later thanks to the bug still circulating in school, I thought I would create a gift wish list for Bug's 5th birthday to help me decide what to get him.

Father's Day 2015 - crafting and gifting.

Having grown up without a dad I’ve never had a reason to celebrate or take note of Father’s Day. That all changed when I met Lee and we started our family. Whilst we do not go all out on Father’s Day with extravagant gifts, I’ve always helped Bug give his daddy a token of his love with a small gift.

As Bug is getting older he learning about the importance of gift giving, learning that it is kind and lovely to give gifts as well as receive them. Learning about giving gifts has meant that no day of celebration can go by without Bug wanting to give a little gift. This Father’s Day was no different he wanted to give his daddy a present.

Daddy was gifted a gorgeous handmade card from Bug. A colourful fish card made at school with a heartfelt message inside written by Bug himself.

Gifts from the heart.

With a number of loved ones to buy gifts for this Christmas I have already been looking for and buying gifts in an attempt to be organised so no last minute panic shopping happens and so that I can get the ‘perfect gift’ to give to our loved ones.

I’ve always loved buying gifts before beautifully wrapping them and I always like to put some thought into what to gift loved ones, giving them a gift from the heart usually a personalised or homemade gift, rather than a generic or lacklustre gift.

Personalised wooden gifts
I love wooden gifts, especially personalised wooden gifts that are expertly engraved with a personal touch. The beauty of a personalised wooden gift is that they are a beautiful combination of a practical gift with a loving personalisation. For wine lovers a luxurious wooden wine box with a personal message is a lovely gift and for food enthusiasts with a love for cheese a wooden cheeseboard lovingly personalised makes for a perfect gift.

Superhero School Uniform - #DebsDreamUniform

I’ve mentioned before when Bug made his Superfruit how much he loves superheroes. He is superhero mad. A day does not go by without me hearing the name ‘Batman’, ‘Spiderman’ or ‘Superman’ uttered by Bug and he often declares he is a superhero; being either his own unique superhero or one of his favourite superheroes or a mixture of all them rolled into one – Super-Bat-Bat (Superman and Batman), Captain-Iron-America-man (Ironman and Captain America) or another imaginative mixture of Superheroes.

He loves wearing clothes emblazoned with his favourite superheroes.
