During pregnancy
as your baby grows and your bump expands your skin is stretched to accommodate
the ever growing bump that holds your precious baby. For many women during pregnancy as their skin
is stretched stretch marks are formed. Even
though stretch marks can form on other people other than pregnant women, i.e.
people who put on or lose weight and teenagers going through puberty, the
hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy affects your skin and can make it
more likely that stretch marks appear. Before
getting pregnant I already had a host of stretch marks adorning my body from
puberty and as my pregnancy progressed I noticed that I got a few more to add
to my collection and they were a lot more visible than my old ones which are
very faint. Whilst pregnant I never
bought a cream or oil for my stretch marks. Following my review of the Weleda Baby Tummy Oil, Weleda offered one of their
oils for my pregnant friend to try. I was keen to see how effective it was and
to see if it would be worth me using when I am pregnant again.

Weleda Baby Tummy Oil Review
We are
fans of Weleda baby products; we love the Weleda Calendula Weather Protection Cream which
we reviewed last year and their teething granules have been great for little
man’s teething woes. As such when I was
offered another of their products to review I jumped at the chance of trying a Weleda
product we haven’t used yet.

Lillipops Iced Soothies Review
When I was pregnant with Tristan I suffered with constant morning sickness for most of my pregnancy. If I wasn’t going sick I was feeling sick and nothing helped to ease the constant nauseated feeling or stop me physically going sick. When I was offered the opportunity to write a review about a morning sickness remedy I asked my pregnant friends to test them out for me as I was keen to see if they would do the trick and ease morning sickness. I was very curious to see how effective it would be and I thought it would be beneficial to know if they work so that I can use them if I suffer with morning sickness next time I am pregnant.

Organic and Ethical Products are no longer boring!!
Whilst online the other day I stumbled across a lovely little company that I just want to share with my lovely followers. Not only is the company I found great for those of us with little ones but it also great for expectant parents too.
The company I discovered is Scamps and Scallyways. Scamps and Scallywags is a funky company who sell eye catching clothes, cute toys, gorgeous gifts and items that you won’t find on the high street. Their mission is to provide customers with organic and ethically produced products for babies and toddlers that are fun and funky, providing style and individuality whilst also being practical and durable.
Scamps and Scallywags founder Jane became interested in natural and ethical products when she was pregnant; however she found it hard to find natural and ethical products that were bright, funky and weren’t boring pastels. Becoming parents for the first time to their son Oliver, Jane and her partner Manny found their priorities changed, realising the benefit of natural products Scamps and Scallywags was born. Through Scamps and Scallywags they aim to provide natural, ethical and great quality items that are excellent value for money and practically designed with children in mind, dressing kids as kids but with fashion-forward prints and designs that will stand the test of time. They have sourced original items and clothes that allow little personalities to shine with bright and funky designs, proving that natural and ethical items can be fun and as they say on their website “because being organic and ethical doesn’t have to be boring” and they say “Goodbye boring pastels, hello funky prints!”
Scamps and Scallywags have sourced a fabulous selection of brands that prove original and ethical products exist which are bright, original and funky. They sell 100% organic cotton clothing ranges by Little Green Radicals, Organic Zoo, Organics for Kids and Toby Tiger; a bamboo/cotton denim basics range by Bamboo baby, charming hand made toys from Under the Nile, irresistible bath and bedtime products from Celtic Herbal, Earth Mama Angel Baby and My Munchkin. They also have an eating range which includes items from Bambu who produce bamboo bowls and utensils and cute bibs from Little Green Radicals that are hip and ethical helping make mealtimes fun. Scamps and Scallywags also have a range of gorgeous, original ready-made gift sets, hand-made photo albums and hand-carved keepsake boxes from Nkuku. Scamps and Scallywags intend to extend their range of toys.
I think the items they sell are very original and definitely not things you’d see on the high street, I really like the Recycle Tantrums Organic cotton T-Shirt from Little Green Radicals which I think is quirky and fun and I think that Under the Nile's Veggin' Out Organic Fruit Toys are extremely original and so very cute.
Scamps and Scallywags care about where the products they sell come from and how they are made, customers can be reassured that there are buying ethically and responsibly without compromising on quality and originality. All the brands that Scamps and Scallywags have sourced and sell on their website have one thing in common, they are all manufactured by people who share their values. Aside from being original and natural all the products are manufactured in safe and clean environments, produced to a high standard and are free from damaging chemicals and toxins. They are an excellent and safe choice for little ones. The organic cotton that the clothing they sell is made of is grown using traditional methods without any harmful pesticides, which is better for our little ones bodies and better for the environment too. Organic cotton is perfect for babies’ health and comfort and is especially beneficial to those suffering with skin allergies or asthma.
I really like Scamps and Scallywags values and beliefs and how they not only are the products they sell beneficial to little ones but are kind to environment too. I have spoken to Jane about Scamps and Scallywags values and she said “We don't claim to be speaky-clean green, but we work with a conscience and try to minimise our impact by working with like-minded suppliers who share our values. Our clothing is made from 100% organic fabrics, printed with non-toxic AZO-free dyes and all other products are both natural and ethically produced throughout the supply chain. We use recycled/reusable/biodegradable materials for our marketing and packaging, and try to run paperless administration where possible.”
`
They are also dedicated in sourcing and providing original and organic pregnancy and new baby products and they have a linked website called Womb Mates for these particular products. Parents want to do the best for their little ones even before they are born, from the moment of conception and the benefits of the natural and organic products they supply are a perfect choice for expectant mums and parents of precious new babies who want to give their loved ones the best without compromising on outstanding quality or originality. Womb Mates have a range of irresistible pampering and well-being products from Celtic Herbal and Earth Mama Angel Baby for expectant mums and new baby and a range of organic baby wear from Little Green Radicals, Organic Zoo and Organics for Kids.
Womb Mates is currently being redeveloped, whilst the redevelopment is happening their full product range including expectant mums is on Scamps and Scallywags. The two brands, Scamps and Scallywags and Womb Mates compliment each other, with Womb Mates focusing on products for pregnancy and new baby (0-12m) and Scamps and Scallywags focusing on baby and toddler products 0-4 years with the aim to eventually provide products up to 5 years. This overlap is intentional so that they can develop relationships with expectant mothers as they provide natural and organic products during pregnancy and then continue to provide natural products for their little ones over the years as their babies grow. I have been told that they are expanding their range of maternity products to include products from a Swedish company called Boob Design and they intent on including hospital bag essentials and new baby products.
Scamps and Scallywags can be found on twitter @funkyscamps and they have a facebook page too, would be great if you pop over and show this lovely company some love and join them.

Visionary Soap Company Lip Balm and Soap Review
I like to use great quality products that are produced by companies who have strong values about how their products are produced and the ingredients that go into them. I have only recently heard of the Visionary Soap Company, having heard about their marvellous values for producing Fairtrade products and their belief regarding social responsibility I was pleased at having the opportunity to test their products.
Visionary Soap Company produce a variety of Fairtrade soap and body care products and their entire range carries the Fairtrade mark. Established in May 2005 they were among the first companies selling body care products using Fairtrade certified ingredients and they are currently the UK’s leading company in this industry to use Fairtrade ingredients in all of their products. Their range of products are handcrafted here in the UK and abroad with ingredients from Fairtrade producers in Palestine, India, Ghana, Nicaragua, The Dominican Republic, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and South Africa. All of their products have been created to contain a very high percentage of Fairtrade ingredients, all products being well above the minimum set requirement for certification. As Visionary Soap Company state “when others do the bare minimum, we strive instead for the maximum.”

Organic Monkey Cheeky Monkey Cheek Rub Oil for Teething Review.
Bug is currently teething and we are using a variety of different teething remedies and aid’s to try to help his discomfort. I like to use products that contain natural ingredients so I was very pleased when I was offered the opportunity to test and review Cheeky Monkey Cheek Rub Oil for Teething. I had not previously ever heard of Organic Monkey or their teething oil and was very curious and keen to test the product to see if an oil rub that only contains natural ingredients would help.
Founders of Organic Monkey, Heidi and Claudine, became aware of the lack of baby skin care products that contain ingredients that are truly organic after becoming mums and wanting to protect and care for their little ones skin. After identifying this gap in the market these two entrepreneurial mums established Organic Monkey, which is the UK’s first fair-trade certified baby skin care range. Their aim is to provide a natural and pure range of gentle and safe baby skin care products that are not only organic and fair but also only contain the best quality ingredients that have beneficial and natural properties. Their products are free from chemicals, harmful toxins, artificial fragrances and synthetic ingredients. Organic Monkey state that - “ingredients are at the heart of our products” and that “Organic products are gentle enough for babies delicate skin and less drying, better used and received by the skin than synthetic substances.” They use pure and high quality ingredients in their products to help protect, nourish, pamper and soothe baby’s delicate and sensitive skin. Not only are organic products gentler for delicate skin than synthetic substances organic ingredients are better for the environment too. All their products are certified and comply with strict UK, European and international rules. Also Organic Monkey support two charities they care about and believe in – Sparks and Monkey World.

Hevea POND Bath Toys Review
Tristan loves having a bath and loves playing with his bath toys. We don’t have many toys for the bath so far. When Hevea offered us their POND bath toys to review I was excited about Tristan testing them out and having a new toy to make his bath time fun.
Founder of Hevea Baby, Terese Hoffeldt believes that natural products, sustainable production and stylish designs are vital. When she had her daughter she wanted a pacifier that fulfilled those demands by being a stylish pacifier made from natural rubber. She had no success in finding a pacifier that met her needs of being 100% naturally rubber, a great design, sustainably produced and packaged in an environmentally friendly way. From this lack of pacifiers that met all of her needs she developed the Hevea pacifier and she aims in making parents and children happy with Hevea products now and in the future. The name ‘Hevea’ derives from the Latin name for the species of trees ‘Hevea Brasiliensis’ which is often called rubber tree. The tree’s natural sap extract is what we know as latex and these trees are the primary source of natural rubber.

Weleda Calendula Weather Protection Cream Review.
I was over the moon when the lovely people at Weleda offered to send me their Calendula Weather Protection Cream to test and review. With the colder weather arriving fast and Bug’s constant dribbling from his teething I was pleased to be testing this cream to see if it would help protect my little man’s skin.
