Kids Eat Free at Coral Island, Blackpool plus win a Mini Cooper

#GIFTED

This summer we are going on a little staycation. After visiting family in Leeds we will be holidaying for a few days at Blackpool. The kids are very excited about going to Blackpool and have been looking at the Visit Blackpool website for ideas of attractions they want to.

As the boys love pirates especially H as he has just been learning all about pirates and the sea at school, once they saw the iconic pirate themed logo of Coral Island they declared we HAVE to visit there when holidaying in Blackpool.

The kids have already had a GOOD old look at the Coral Island website to see what attractions and amusements they can enjoy when we visit. H is very excited that they have a number or ride on kids rides and loves the look of the pirate ships and Circus ride. T is hyped up about the fact that Coral Island boasts Virtual Reality arcade rides, which in his opinion is “super awesome”. They also both want to go on the Ghost Train and Pirate Flyer whilst I can't wait to give the Camel Derby a try.

Staycation 2019

This year we are planning a UK staycation family holiday for the summer where we will be travelling from Pembrokeshire up to North Wales and then across the North of England visiting a number of locations including Chester, Blackpool, Leeds and Scarborough.

Whilst it is going to be lots of travelling we are going to breaking up the journey with a few days at various locations where we will be exploring the area and visiting local family friendly attractions. Not only is it a lovely way for us to see and explore more of what wonderful Great Britain has to offer but by heading North it allows us to also visit Lee’s family in Leeds.

Walking With Dinosaurs The Arena Spectacular review

When I heard that the Walking With Dinosaurs Arena Spectacular show was stomping to arenas across the UK on a final dinotastic tour I was eager to witness the world renowned show before it becomes extinct.

Like most kids my boys are fascinated by dinosaurs. My youngest loves dinosaur shows such as Dinosaur Train and Andy’s Dinosaur Adventures, adores dinosaur toys and is fanatic about imaginative dinosaur play and dressing up as dinosaurs. Not only does my eldest also share the same dinosaur interests as his little brother but his obsession has progressed to being interested in learning everything and anything scientific about dinosaurs. The beauty of dinosaurs is that there is always more for him to learn as paleontologists discover new dinosaurs and facts all the time plus dinosaurs leave awesome skeletons and fossils.

Juniors get behind the wheel with Track Days!

From a young age many children are curious and attracted to cars. Racing toy cars around excites them and sparks imaginative play. Cars capture their interest and evoke a sense of fun.

For some children the fascination with cars evolves from toy cars to real life cars. The passion they have for cars in various forms develops over time and stays with them from young childhood to teenage years through to adulthood.

Both of my children are mad about cars. From when they were tiny toddlers, toy cars have been firm favourite toys. Their love of cars has grown and grown over the years.

Whale watching in Australia

Whale watching is a popular pastime in Sydney, due in part to the 38 vantage points from which these magnificent beasts can be seen from land. Every year, thousands of whales migrate along the NSW coast, for a stretch of more than 2,000 km. When it’s whale-watching season, you’ll be able to see these splendid mammals from a lot of headlands in Sydney, as well as at destinations from Eden in the south to Byron Bay in the north.

The Australian waters are home to more than half of Mother Earth’s cetacean species, like whales, porpoises and dolphins. Two commonly sighted species near the NSW shore are southern right whales and humpbacks. Whales will migrate north in order to breed in warmer waters during the months of May, June, July and August. After breeding, they return with their calves to southern oceans in order to feed from August to November. With quality whale watching service providers, you should be able to go whale watching at any point in the annual whale migration season, which goes from May to November, although July and September are peak months.

Big boy trip to the cinema.

This weekend at the grand old age of 4 Bug had his first trip to the cinema to watch a film.

We have been thinking for a while now of taking Bug to the cinema as his love of films has come alive having previously never had the patience to sit still long enough to enjoy a film from start to finish. As we have had so much going on of late we had not managed a trip to the cinema until this weekend.

So as not to put it off much longer or be at greater risk of going into labour mid film, this past weekend we popped to our local Vue cinema to watch the Minions.

National Trust’s Cadbury Eggsplorers Easter Egg Hunt.

For us Easter is not only a time when the Easter bunny visits with a few yummy chocolate egg treats, but also a time when we relish the beauty of the great outdoors on fun family adventures. We love nothing more than having adventures in the great outdoors, exploring the wonder of nature on lovely – hopefully sunny - countryside walks.

This Easter the National Trust are giving families the opportunity to combine a love of chocolate egg treats that have become famously connected to Easter with a love of getting outdoors and having fun families adventures thanks to their annual Cadbury Eggsplorers Easter Egg Trails.

Adventures on Autumn days,

We love being in the great outdoors. Throughout the year we love any excuse to get outside to explore and play.

To me ever season has its own special charm. The beauty of each season is a wonder to experience and we love nothing more than having adventures in the great outdoors as we bask in the beauty and magic that each season has to offer.

At the moment we are relishing Autumn. We are enjoying Autumn days spent having adventures in the crisp Autumn air. We love kicking crisp golden brown leaves and hearing the crunch of leaves underfoot as we enjoy long walks, escapades at the local castle ruins and hours spent playing at the park.

During Autumn as we edge ever closer to Winter we dig out our wellies and waterproofs for wet Autumn days for lots of fun puddle jumping and walks in the rain and our woolly jumpers for the dry, yet chilly other Autumn days when we enjoy our adventures in the crisp, fresh Autumn air.

For our recent adventure in the great outdoors when we enjoyed the beauty that Autumn has to offer on a lovely dry Autumn day when the sun was shining beautifully and the air was fresh and crisp, Bug wore a new outfit courtesy of House of Fraser.
